I design for the people in between.
I'm Brayden, a UX design intern at IBM who grew up in restaurants and believes the smallest moments make the biggest impressions.

🌍 On a mission
The story
I learned UX waiting tables.
My family ran a restaurant and I started working there in 2017. I grew up watching how a single moment — the wait time, the wrong order, the server who remembered your name — could completely define someone's experience. Good design and good hospitality have always felt the same to me: invisible when it works, painfully obvious when it doesn't.
That's what brought me to UX. I enrolled at SCAD in 2023 because I wanted to learn how to design those moments intentionally. Not just make things look good, but make them feel right. I'm drawn to the messy, human problems: shared spaces, group decisions, systems that need to serve many people at once.
Now interning at IBM, I'm designing enterprise-scale product experiences where the stakes are higher and the problems are more complex. Coffee is non-negotiable. I believe belonging is a design decision.
Design philosophy
What I actually believe.
Empathy first
Every decision starts with understanding the human on the other side.
Invisible design
The best design is the kind people never notice. It just works.
Belonging is a design decision
If a product does not make everyone feel welcome, it is not finished.
Show the messy middle
Process matters. I bring teams into the problem, not just the solution.
